Product updates, improvements, and fixes — newest first.

Adding your students from a spreadsheet is now faster, clearer, and much harder to get wrong.

What's new

  • An editable preview shows every row of your student Excel file before a single record is saved.
  • Mistakes can be corrected directly in the preview, with no need to fix the file and upload it again.
  • Grade, section and guardian relationship are chosen from lists built from your school's own structure, so a typo can no longer create a duplicate or an orphaned record.
  • Rows that fail a check are highlighted in place, with the exact field and the reason shown on hover.

Improvements

  • The import runs entirely inside Schoolvoice, so student and guardian data stays within the platform from upload to save.
  • Validation follows the same rules the platform applies to every other student record, so what passes in the preview is what the platform accepts.
  • Errors surface during the review step rather than after submission, so a large intake no longer fails at the end of a long upload.
  • Clear progress and button states show when validation is running and when the import is complete.
  • The preview table is easier to scan, so reviewing a whole grade takes minutes instead of a line-by-line read.
  • Existing student and guardian records, IDs and relationships are untouched, and any spreadsheet that worked before still works with the same required columns.

This app update focuses on Voice Calls, with a new calling screen, steadier connections, and fixes across the app.

What's new

  • A new calling screen shows clearly when a call is ringing and when it is connected, with the caller's name and photo.
  • Calls can be started straight from a student's profile, without looking up the contact first.
  • A caller now sees immediately when the person they are calling is already on another call.

Improvements

  • Calls open reliably even when the app was fully closed.
  • Unanswered calls are recorded as missed calls, so the call history stays complete.
  • Availability hours now apply only to incoming calls, so staff can call a family at any time.
  • If a single app version has a problem, only that version is asked to update, so everyone else keeps working uninterrupted.

Fixes

  • Deactivated staff no longer appear as contactable in chat, and anyone who has logged out no longer receives incoming calls.
  • Fixed display problems reported by some users, including a partial black screen and the keyboard covering the attachments area when choosing a file.
  • Phone numbers containing dashes are now read correctly in Schoolvoice+, and autofill works again.

A maintenance update focused on stability, with fixes across chat, calls and sign-in.

Improvements

  • A missed call now appears in the chat immediately, for both the caller and the person who missed it.
  • The app detects changes in connection more accurately, so it behaves predictably on a weak or switching network.

Fixes

  • The app no longer crashes on startup for the users who were affected.
  • Grade and section now show correctly on the chat recipient card when opening a student's profile.
  • Dismissing the keyboard on the verification code screen no longer sends you back a screen.
  • Pull to refresh now works in Schoolvoice+ even when no offers are showing.

A maintenance update that clears a sign-in problem and makes voice calls more reliable.

Fixes

  • Signing in no longer fails with a network error when the connection is working normally.
  • On some iPhones, the call screen now opens correctly when a call is accepted.
  • Skill names now appear in the correct language when viewing your students.
